Nisbets
Nisbets was founded in 1983 as a small supplier of knives, clothes and textbooks to catering colleges
from the humble surrounds of a basement in Prewett Street, Redcliffe.
Nisbets has since become Europe’s largest supplier of catering equipment and now sells its 25,000
product lines in over 100 countries to yield annual revenues of over £300 million.
The company describes its purpose as ‘Catering Equipment Made Simple’ and focuses on the provision
of choice, quality and service through a multi-channel operation which includes mail order, web, managed
accounts and field sales.
Nisbets also continues to expand its retail expansion with 30 stores across the UK – including two in
Bristol – and more to follow in 2018. The company is proud to employ over 1,000 people from Bristol
and the surrounding areas amongst its global workforce of over 2,000 colleagues and is also passionate
