Places for People and Urban Splash
In 2013 Places for People and Urban Splash joined forces and committed to a joint venture partnership
which would help transform disused sites around the country.
Places for People - with its track record as one of the largest property companies in the country
boasting assets of £3.1bn - and Urban Splash - an award winning regeneration company which has
won almost 400 awards for its commitment to architecture and transformation - have collectively
pooled their skills focusing primarily on the Park Hill development in Sheffield as well as other
mixed-use schemes in North Shields and Birmingham.
The joint venture has been working on site together for a number of years at Lakeshore in Bristol
where they are creating a unique development of eco-homes sitting over a lake; offering studio, one
and two bedroom apartments. To date, the pairing has completed 286 homes with plans for a further
152 apartments in phase 2.

Sovereign
Sovereign is one of the largest housing associations in the country, managing 56,000 quality
affordable homes for 130,000 people.
We oversee one of the biggest affordable housing development programmes too, building around
1,500 new homes each year. Our focus is on building affordable homes for rent or helping people
get on the property ladder through our successful shared ownership scheme. However, we build
homes for outright sale as well and are growing our private rent portfolio, reinvesting the profits into
more new, affordable homes.
