Clifton College
Founded in 1862, Clifton College is a leading public school for boys and girls aged 2 to 18 offering day,
flexi and full boarding places. The College is flying high currently with a full school inspection by the ISI
(Independent Schools Inspectorate) rating it as ‘excellent’ in all areas.
At the heart of Clifton College’s success is a vision aimed at offering the finest all-round education based
on high academic standards allied to excellence in sports, music and drama. Recent graduates have
gone on to study music at the Royal College of Music, play professional rugby, hockey and cricket,
perform at the Globe Theatre, and win gold at the Rio Olympics.
Extensive facilities include a 330-seat theatre and the Joseph Cooper Music School. The sports grounds
total over 90 acres, including an on-site swimming pool, gym, an international standard water-based
hockey pitch, 3G rugby pitch, indoor netball and tennis dome, and rackets, real tennis, basketball and
fives courts.
The College works in partnership with many organisations within the city
and is proud of its strong links with the local community.
